Dragons of Galicia series by Simone Pond Book Tour & Giveaway

Fire and Fate
Dragons of Galicia Series Book 1
by Simone Pond
Genre: Epic YA Fantasy

In Simone Pond’s captivating new fantasy series, a peasant girl embraces her dragon slayer destiny, calling on the legendary power of her family’s bloodline to conquer an evil kingdom and kill every last dragon in Galicia.

Unknowing descendant of a legendary dragon slayer, Evelyn is convinced that getting out of her quaint yhamlet is the answer to finding true love and happiness. But she seems destined to work on her mother’s farm, while the other girls present themselves before the gallant Prince Kieran in his quest to find a lady-in-waiting.

When the prince finally takes notice of Evelyn, he’s smitten and chooses her above all the others. Evelyn is elated about living in Verubri Castle and the possibility of marriage. But her happiness is quickly squelched when the prince invites Evelyn’s arch rival, Ciara, to join them.

Before traveling north, Evelyn discovers her dragon slayer ancestry, something she knows must be concealed from Prince Kieran who would consider it treason against his kingdom. But the only way to survive the treacherous journey is to expose herself and possibly ruin her future and even end her life.

The Dragons of Galicia series is set in a world inspired by Celtic legends. Fire and Fate leads directly into the next book in the series, Fire and Chains.

Fire and Chains
Dragons of Galicia Series Book 2

In the second book of the vibrantly depicted Dragons of Galicia Series, Evelyn of Gorias rises to her dragon slayer calling as she fights to conquer a kingdom of deceit, betrayal, and powerful dragons.

Though Evelyn survived the journey across the mountain ranges, the challenges are just beginning. Verubri Castle holds dark secrets, Prince Kieran is a tyrant, and Ciara is resolute on destroying Evelyn and seducing the prince.

When a dragon nearly burns down an entire village, Evelyn must go after the beast. But this won’t be easy, not when the prince has her heavily guarded. Evelyn’s hope wains, until she encounters a stranger who changes the course of everything.

With the looming threat of the entire clan of Galician Dragons being reawakened, Evelyn must hurry to save the kingdom, while Ciara aims to rule it. To accomplish their goals, they must defeat Prince Kieran. In their individual struggles to conquer and prevail, Evelyn and Ciara face external and internal demons they never imagined possible.

Fire and Blood
Dragons of Galicia Series Book 3

In the final book of the Dragons of Galicia Series, every turn is fraught with dangerous threats in the quest to save the kingdom.

Narrowly escaping the castle to be captured by a dragon is only the beginning of Evelyn’s problems. The list of opponents grows as she battles Ciara, Prince Kieran’s army, and more dragons.

With the neighboring villages being burned and pillaged, Evelyn must pull together her own army of dragon warriors to fight the prince and his knights. As her love for Doran deepens, she’ll do anything to ensure he stays alive, even at the cost of going to battle without him.

As the war reaches an explosive peak, both Evelyn and Ciara face deadly consequences. And the only way to save the north from total destruction is for Evelyn to trust her most deceitful adversary, Ciara. If the two don’t join forces, all will be lost.

Magic of Books Promotions hosted its first tour during the month of November three years ago.
The company was created from the passion and desire of its owner, Tami Adams, because of her experiences as an author. From her struggles to have her books viewed and appreciated she knew there had to be another way.
Three years later Tami no longer writes but is determined to show the world the magic that lies within the pages of all books.
The following authors are helping Magic of Books to celebrate its birthday. Enjoy.
Message from Tami:
The last three years have been an incredible journey. I've made so many friends who began as bloggers, readers, and authors. I have been privileged to present and showcase new and old books from seasoned and new authors. I've learned so much I didn't even realize I should know prior to getting into this business. And after three years I can honestly say I'm still learning, I'm still growing, and I'm still making friends. I love and appreciate all of you who have supported my little slice of heaven. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Not Dead Yet Book Tour & Giveaway by Samie Sands

Not Dead Yet
AM13 Outbreak Series Book 4
by Samie Sands
Genre: Horror, Post- Apocalyptic

The AM13 Outbreak has affected everywhere, the entire world has experienced infection.

Victims of the virus are no longer human, they've changed, become something scientifically impossible. With their loss of human function and their new lust for flesh, there’s only one word to describe them...

Zombies.

The world is divided as everyone tries to work out how to survive. Many have already lost their lives
in the fight, but there are still a few who are not dead...

Yet!

Don't miss the other books in the AM13 Outbreak Series!
Lockdown
AM13 Outbreak Series Book 1

Forgotten
AM13 Outbreak Series Book 2

Extinct
AM13 Outbreak Series Book 3

1.        Can you tell us a little bit about the characters in Extinct?
The main character is Georgie Blake, a zombie author who certainly never expected to end up in what feels like the pages of her book. By the time we get to Extinct, the apocalypse has been going on for a while (although each book in the series can easily be read as standalone!), but she still isn’t used to it. Tom Cleary is another major character and he’s the one who causes Georgie the most concern. She just cannot work out where his motives and loyalties lie…
2.        Do the characters all come to you at the same time or do some of them come to you as you write?
I start out with an idea of the characters I want to include in the plot, but as I write new ones often make an appearance in my mind. Also the ones I’ve started out with don’t turn out as planned. I have one idea of them in my brain, but the plot often takes on a life of it’s own and it changes them with it. I prefer that though, I think it makes the end result of them more organic.
3.        What kind of research do you do before you begin writing a book?
I did a lot more research for the second book in the series, Forgotten, because one of the characters is a scientist trying to solve the problem of the virus. I had to do a lot of in depth research into some very interesting biology then!
4.        Describe yourself in 5 words or less!
I didn’t know how to answer this one, so I asked my five year old daughter! This is what she said: sharing, cuddling, nice, helpful, and fun…not too bad!! 😊
5.        How did you come up with the concept and characters for the book?
I enjoyed writing Georgie in this book, since she’s an introverted zombie book writer. I could relate to her more than any of my other characters. I enjoyed creating a character that always wants to do the right thing, but in this situation since this is a new world, she doesn’t know what the right thing is!
6.        What did you enjoy most about writing this book?
I loved writing all the books in the AM13 Outbreak series because they can all be read as standalone which allows for the introduction of new characters and situations. Some readers love the slightly vapid Leah from Lockdown, others like the plucky teenager, Alyssa, from Forgotten, but the best feedback I’ve had is for Georgie in Extinct. She’s flawed and doesn’t always make the right choice, but I think that makes her more realistic.
7.        Tell us about your main characters- what makes them tick?
Georgie is introverted which makes it hard for her to push herself, but she can do it when she thinks she’s doing the right thing. The reader might not always agree with her, sometimes it might be like yelling ‘don’t go in there’ at a movie screen, but I’m sure everyone would make mistakes in panic during the apocalypse.
8.        Do you have any advice to give aspiring writers?
Don’t give up! It isn’t always easy and you will face rejection and negativity, but as with anything creative not everyone will like your stuff. Just don’t give up and it’ll all be worth it in the end.
